How to Join Us

Star Touring and Riding Founded in 1996, Star Touring and Riding Association is an international family riding organization.  As the Official STAR organization of Yamaha Motor Corp., STAR is a non-political, non-confrontational association.  Its main focus is on family, fun, camaraderie and RIDING.  All brands of motorcycles are welcome.  With over 150 chapters, STAR recognizes safety as a first priority.  Chapters have a mix of riders with varied riding experiences.  Chapter rides follow highway laws and limits.  This allows everyone to enjoy the ride and not have new riders feel overly stressed.  STAR chapters do not include "tavern runs", and consumption of alcoholic beverages on chapter rides is prohibited.  If you are looking for a family motorcycle association with a lot of pride, spirit and camaraderie, you have found us.

To become affliated with a chapter, you must join the STAR Association.  You may visit a chapter and participate in up to three chapter events without joining the STAR Association.  If you like what you see and desire to continue riding with the chapter, you must join the association.  The annual dues are for a family and include the association magazine and a small vest emblem.  Our local Chapter 125 of Fresno, CA does not collect dues.  We raise money during the year through various fund raisers.  We are non-profit and donate to various charitable organizations.  To stay affiliated with our chapter as a member, our bylaws require that you attend at least 50% of the sanctioned chapter events.

To join the STAR Association, you may pick up an application at a chapter meeting or click the link below and you will be transfered to the Star Touring and Riding Association web site where you may complete an online application.
